I honestly didn't expect the quality to be this good. The linen fabric feels lightweight and breathable, yet it still has a premium look and drapes perfectly. The fit is exactly what I was looking for—relaxed and comfortable without looking baggy or sloppy.

Linen is tricky. Too light and it clings. Too heavy and it doesn't drape. These hit the right weight. Worn them in 28°C and they breathe properly. Worn them with a wool blazer in 18°C and they still work. Versatile. Color: Charcoal · Size: 36
Wear them rolled at the ankle with the Soriano loafers (also bought here — see my other review). The charcoal works with cream, white, beige, navy — basically any summer top. Pleased with how the linen drapes off the hip without bunching.
The waistband is properly constructed with interior canvasing. The hem is properly weighted so the trouser falls correctly. Most linen trousers at this price feel like pajamas — these don't. Architect, wear them to client meetings with a tee or with a poplin shirt. Wide range.
The fabric was the surprise — softer than I expected, more like an Italian linen than a typical commercial weave. Comfortable straight out of the box. Wrinkles in the right way (linen should wrinkle — that's the point). Already ordered the cream pair.
The cut is wide at the ankle which is a stylistic choice — I prefer a more tapered linen trouser. Took them to a tailor for a small taper, now they're perfect. Quality of fabric and construction is excellent. Adjust your expectations on cut if you prefer narrow.
Born here, lived here all my life. I know linen. This is good linen — finished properly, the seams are clean inside out. The break-in took two wears. Now they're my default summer trouser. Already considering a second pair in another color.
Linen shrinks on first wash. I followed the care instructions exactly and these came back a touch tight in the waist. Not unwearable but knock off half a star for not warning more clearly. The trouser itself is beautiful — beautiful fabric, beautiful fall.
Tried Sunspel, Drake's, and Ralph Lauren's Polo linen. The Riviera holds its own against all three for half the price. The charcoal is a true charcoal, not faded grey. Linen has the right weight — substantial enough to drape, light enough for August.
